David L. Takes, President
David L. Takes is the President and CEO of Doerfer Corporation and a Principal in Silverado Investments, L.C., entities he co-founded with Doerfer Chairman Sunder Subbaroyan in 1995. In his role with Doerfer, Takes oversees operations, finance, legal, administrative and HR functions and takes an active interest in business development and strategic planning initiatives.
Takes spent 10 years as a partner in the law firm of Swisher & Cohrt, advising clients in both the public and private sectors on various commercial matters. He is also a Certified Public Accountant, having earned that designation in 1982.
Takes serves on the Foundation Board of the University of Northern Iowa and chairs its Technology Transfer Section. A 1981 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, Takes obtained his law degree with distinction from the University of Iowa in 1984.
