Kenneth R. Vernon, VP of Finance / CFO
Kenneth R. Vernon is the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Doerfer Corporation.
With a degree in accounting and registration as a Certified Public Accountant, Vernon spent the first 17 years of his career with the public accounting firm of Goldberg, Geiser & Company, Ltd., in Chicago. As a Partner there, he served the industries of construction contracting, manufacturing and special equipment design and build. Vernon is a past member of the American Institute of CPAs and has been active in the Illinois Society of CPAs, where he served on the Specialized Industries committee of Construction Contractors and Manufacturers and the Practice Management Committee.
In 1985, Vernon left public accounting to accept a position as Vice President of Finance and Administration at Mid-West Automation Systems, Inc., a custom automation equipment and systems designer and manufacturer based in Chicago. Vernon remained with Mid-West, through its 1996 acquisition by DT Industries, Inc., until 2002 when he joined Doerfer.
